These terms apply to the website backfirefiles.com (and thebackfirefiles.com) and to the channels published as The Backfire Files and its sister channels. By using the website you agree to them.
Our content
Our videos, scripts, artwork, characters (including Dottie) and text are owned by us or used under licence. You're welcome to watch, share and link to them through the platforms' own sharing tools. Please don't re-upload, sell or pass them off as your own without permission.
Accuracy
Our episodes are researched and fact-checked, but they are short, entertaining summaries of history, not academic or legal advice. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we'll look into it.
Our publishing app
We use a private app to publish to and read statistics from our own YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook accounts. It is not offered to the public. Its use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy; see our privacy policy for how data is handled.
Third-party platforms
Watching, commenting on or following our channels happens on third-party platforms, under their own terms and policies. We're not responsible for those platforms.
No warranty
The website and content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from using them.

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
